Indian media lacks confidence needed to boost democracy

I follow western media like BBC, CNN, some French and Israeli media channels. And recently, I started to just view some prominent Indian national media channels which sorry to say seem to me as just hyped up with some “Bollywood” type of environment.  Can these channels just stick to factual news,  not unwanted noise and drama.  

The low credibility and lack of freedom of Indian media versus Western media is another matter. Our media seems to be terrified to cover or criticise the top Indian leaders or demand a press conference which is a fundamental in any democracy. Our top Indian leaders proclaim India as “Mother of Democracies”.
