Two bikes collided in Vasco due visibility blocked by an obstructive banner at site! This is an old story which keeps repeating devastating lives! Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar reportedly said, “Even last time we had instructed the municipality to take out such banners obstructing the vision of people!”
Apparently no action or follow up was done. Even death of victims brings no accountability and if any action, compensation is paid from the taxpayers money which is no punishment for those responsible!
Unless there is accountability and justice meted out to those responsible and the victims, nothing will improve. Will the government sit up and issue SOPs for every road accident, try to establish accountability and action to prevent/minimise accidents and enhance justice and road safety?
