It is really surprising to see that in Netravali village Panchayat in the gram Sabha meeting few people were present. The elected representatives failed to listen to the voice and demands of the people of Netravali. The village panchayat office is doing what they want by force and persons who raise their voices are harassed saying that they will not be given government jobs to family members, saying they will be transferred to far remote areas and their business will get affected. The main thing is that the contractors are getting the bills paid without carrying out any work and this is done by the panchayat officials for the greed of money. The village panchayat and concerned MLA are only giving the poor people empty promises. The local people who are working in the forest department as a daily wagers for years only gets Rs 410 per day as salary. The forest department, MLA and Chief Minister Pramod sawant should look into this matter. The village panchayat is trying to subdue the voice of hard working people. Corruption in Goa government is stopping the development in the village panchayat areas.
