Are we witnessing in our country one nation, one election, one-party rule? It looks like it is going forward in that direction due to the many recent political developments as most regional parties are being decimated, barring a few South Indian states where regionalism is strong since Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi in Tamil Nadu.
Whereas, otherwise in the north, east, and west parts of India, the regional parties have been broken into two pieces. Even their symbols of original parties are taken over by splinter groups so that vote share decreases, and the existence of the parties is at its lowest ebb. This is the strategy of the party trying to succeed over the one nation, one election, one-party, or if not possible, two-party rule, and Congress will play second fiddle and never be elevated to rule.
Will this strategy see the light of the day is a million-dollar question, and if BJP wins the 2024 elections, then as per a recent interview of Satyapal Malik, then what? Only the result of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will give a clear picture.
Hope our country doesn't imitate countries like Russia, headed by Putin, and China, headed by Xi Jinping, as our Prime Minister looks to be influenced by these leaders.
