Paint faded speed breakers' white strips to avert mishaps

Government should be aware of the fact that accidents are caused due to the lack of speed breakers cautionary white strips. Most of the cautionary white strips on the speed breakers are seen faded and therefore not noticeable by motorists, thus resulting in accidents. Village panchayats or municipal councils should direct the Public Works Department officials to at least put some big signs boards and paint white strips wherever speed breakers are installed to caution people about the hurdle. There have been  accidents caused by speed breakers which are not painted with cautionary strips. There have been many accidents in Arpora particularly for lack of warning signs for people and motorists about the speed breakers. The Traffic Cell of the police should give  details of their proposal to print radium white strips on the speed breakers which are required to public works department for the safety of the public. Don't concentrate only on collecting "talao" ! But avert the unfortunate deaths on road as a part of patriotic duty.

SSC exam dates should not clash with festivities

The SSC (Class X) Public Examination of March 2025 conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education commenced on March 1 and will go on till March 21.
