This is with reference to the report, "36-year old man gets a new lease of life……..- Goan Everyday - May 22, 2024." This was some encouraging piece of news. It is great to see the smile and joy on the faces of patients in critical condition. Here was a 36-year old man getting a new lease of life after undergoing surgery for a broken neck at the Shree Ortho and Trauma Centre (SOTC). What is notable is that the doctors at the hospital performed what is called, high risk surgery, a highly complex surgery. It is great to see however, the confidence of the doctors in undertaking such a surgery. This only goes to prove that doctors in our country are capable of taking up such challenges. The SOTC team is therefore rightly receiving accolades for this feat!
