Price rise hitting common man hard

At a time when thousands of Indians are grappling with salary cuts, employees DA & DR withheld and job losses, the government is increasing taxes to manage its own finances. There is a lack of strategy with the Ministries. The government has taken citizens for a ride.  People are exploited by being given wrong information.  The price of essentials including petrol, diesel, cooking gas, etc pinches the consumers.  The prices are on the boil leading to a cascading effect on end consumer prices of various daily use items.  One wonders what will be the fate of housewives if cooking gas and household items are going to go up even higher. The ever increasing cost of living has proven the age old theory of survival of the fittest.  Hike is a nice and easy tool for the government to fill in the gaps of revenue.  It may be noted that the ‘Achhe din aane waale hain’ slogan was used by BJP during the 2014 general election campaign. The price hike just goes to show government's incapability or lack of accountability.  The hikes have made the lives of people miserable, forcing them to cut on luxuries and lead an austere life. The government has eventually made people unhappy and provoking suicidal tendencies in many who are fed up with this continuous price rise.
