Remember that safety on roads always comes first

Speed breakers and zebra crossing lines should be maintained in a good condition by painting them for the safety of the motorists and pedestrians. The sign boards with different types of signs should be maintained and old, rusted and bent board’s must be repaired or replaced with new ones. In VP Chandor, most of the signboards aren’t even legible anymore.

Even the signboards that says “Chandor cavorim village Panchayat office welcomes you in the historic village which was once upon a time capital of Goa” is in bad condition and need to be replaced with new at both sides of the boundaries.

For the safety of students of St. Joseph educational institute school and safety of the senior citizen near Dcunha Store next to the church, a zebra crossing is required. The speed breakers and the lines near the traffic island opposite Chandor Church should be painted with fresh coat of paint.

Hope the VP Chandor cavorim, MLA and Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemeo, the PWD department and the concerned authorities to look into this matter and solve the long pending issues for the safety of the children’s and senior citizens and in the interest of the travelling public as soon as possible.
