The villagers and people of Goa strongly oppose the Unity Mall and other mega projects in our small State. When the people clearly do not want these projects, why is the government pushing them forward? Who is the central government to force such developments upon Goa? Why is CM Sawant listening to the centre instead of standing up for the people of Goa, especially when both the State and central governments are led by the same party? These projects are destroying our lands, water bodies, and greenery, turning Goa into a concrete jungle.
As the head of the state, CM Sawant must prioritise the voice of the people over the interests of those with deep pockets eager to exploit Goa’s resources. Please do not bring people out onto the streets and go on hunger strike again and again, especially on the soil where the Niz Goenkars are born and brought up. Enough is Enough. Remember that Goa is not for sale.
