Goa Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar spends most of his time at his private office, close to his residence at Chaudi, Canacona, where hundreds visit him on daily basis with various issues to seek assistance and advice and at times endorsing different type of applications. However, none are allowed to leave without seeing the MLA as his qualified PA, secretary and staff are so well trained to be courteous making sure that the visitors are comfortable. The most amazing gift that Tawadkar holds is, he gives time and ear to each and every visitor like a cardiac doctor attending to his patients trying to listen to their heart beats. In my personal assessment, I am confident to say - Tawadkar will be re-elected as Canacona MLA time and again. Let me conclude with a quote from a like minded politician, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee: "I believe that democracy is the best guarantor for peace and cooperation and is a matter of pride for our country, something which we must always cherish, preserve and further strengthen".
