Not a single day goes by without some news in the media about the tussle between the locals of Velsao and the Indian Railways, and neither does it seem like it will end very soon.
As of now victory doesn’t seem to be attainable for the aggrieved locals who are caught between the devil and the deep sea in the form of the 2 warring factions that are leading the fight.
This in turn is benefitting the perpetrator -- The India Railways -- who is probably sitting back and enjoying the sun and the fun in the coastal village.
“Tisro gheta labh” is the apt expression for the conflict, and it is baffling to see, how the locals have not realized this. The 2 “saviour” factions should meet and fight this issue collectively, bearing in mind that they stand a chance only in unity as their backbone, devoid of all political, social and religious affiliations.
