Goa which was once upon a time globally famous for its beautiful beaches, churches, temples, forts, festivals and iconic monuments today is infamous for drugs, alcohol and night partys, the way they show in Bollywood movies.
Outsiders who come to the State, with the blessing of influential businessmen or politicians are soon into drug selling business which has spoiled the image of Goa and ruined the future young generation. The brisk business of narcotics are reportedly carried out in in the coastal belts, especially North Goa which has now spread to South Goa. Drugs are sold in college campuses and Goa police is well aware of the nefarious activity but they will go only after small fish letting the sharks to go scot-free. Looks like the politicians are big time into it and getting their share of kickbacks along with the police.
Today people of Goa are losing faith and trust from Goa police because public servants have now become servants of the goondas. These drugs are killing our young youth.
Remember that we Goans don't drink alcohol the way shown in Bollywood movies. We know our limits. Because of drugs the crime rate is on the rise in Goa. Requesting our State government to take quick action to rid the State of sex and drugs racket before the situation goes out of control.
