Assembly session was a totally one-sided show

The four-day winter session of the Goa Assembly recently from January 16 to 19 was looking fully like one state government sponsored 'balcaonche gozali' (balcony talk) type of time-pass comedy show in Goa.

In fact Ramesh Tawadkar (who is actually supposed to officiate the proceedings like referee without taking any team's side) was himself seen running the said assembly session in a most biased manner acting like one remote-controlled robot of the ruling BJP government in Goa. The one thing he was repeatedly heard saying was 'bhosunn gheat' (sit down) for the opposition leaders and not allowing them to even raise some serious issues concerning Goans or to expose the misdeeds of the ruling party leaders to somehow defend the acts of the ruling BJP government in Goa.

The worse part was that he was seen purportedly allowing the ruling party leaders to even pass some controversial bills without having any serious discussions and ignoring all the objections raised by the opposition side on the floor of the house in the Goa assembly.

If the Speaker wants to continue dancing to the tunes of his ruling party leaders to enjoy his own 'ache-din' then he should seriously take a break and stop officiating such type of one-sided assembly sessions.
