Cable cars for tourism will be a good initiative

It is learnt that there will be a massive boost for tourism in Goa. Asserting that there will be no restriction on funds for tourism infrastructure, the Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik has reportedly said that the Centre is ready to finance projects including a golf course, an oceanarium and a water sports park in order to attract high-spending tourists in the state. The Centre has reportedly also approved a proposal to take up the development of the Basilica of Bom Jesus. Similarly, the Colva and Calangute beaches will be taken up for further development. If feasible the state could also think of having a ‘cable car’ facility to attract high-spending tourists. Several world-famous places have cable cars in which the tourists can go for joyrides. Goa is blessed with greenery and intertwining waterways. The view from above will indeed be breathtaking and a joy to behold. A cable car facility will be able to give the tourists a view of the beauty Goa abounds in. Several states in the country too have cable cars. At the same time, all precautions need to be in place in order to avoid an accident like the one which took place recently at Deoghar in Jharkhand.
