The open invitation to AAP or any of its functionaries for a public debate on the models of electricity in Delhi and Goa is turning out to be a damp squib. Our power minister never even remotely expected that AAP through its MLA Raghav Chadha would accept the gauntlet. Cabral even promised to reimburse the cost of travel and stay of the AAP representative who would come for the debate to Goa. Now he is caught on the wrong foot as the BJP has directed him against the debate. Cabral is now doling out excuses that the AAP MLA is young and not a power minister. Cabral has nothing to lose and enjoys a distinctive advantage over Chadha. He should have the guts and gumption for the public debate. The AAP MLA is here for the debate at his own expense and is not claiming any reimbursement. Goa's power needs are acute both for domestic consumers and the industry. Constant breakdowns, fluctuations and interruptions are the order of the day.
