It is learnt that three key projects in Vasco -- the fish market complex, the renovation of municipality building and power house in Baina -- will materialise soon. The work on the three projects will commence as soon as the clearances are obtained and other technicalities are done with. It is common knowledge that projects take more than the stipulated time for completion due to delays. The pre-monsoon showers will be witnessed in the state in two to three months. The question is whether the three projects can be completed before the onset of monsoon. It may be recalled that in a meeting with several government departments, the Panaji MLA has urged the departments to complete ongoing works in the state capital by March. Instructions have also been given to finish all digging activity in Panaji by March-end so that the resurfacing of the roads could be completed before the onset of the monsoon. In Vasco, it would be desirable to complete the three major projects before the rains begin. There should not be any delay in the works due to the monsoon.
