Karnataka has seen the highest number of recruitment scams. Getting government jobs through illegal means is now the norm. There seems to be no respite in sight for the Karnataka government which is embroiled in a controversy over bribery and corruption allegations by the Karnataka State Contractors Association and a section of mutts recently. Now, the Civic Agency Contractors Association has alleged rampant corruption by the government officials, who demand 40 per cent commission in the tender process. We are a society that today worships money and power. This needs to change. Unemployment is on the rise day by day. The bug of corruption is eating our entire system and becoming an obstacle in the country’s development.
