Domiciled migrants can contest elections

Who says that migrants who are settled in Goa cannot contest elections?  Legally they are Goans residing with their families for 40 decades or more and are very much involved in the economic development of the state. Goans settled abroad contest elections so why discriminate against Indian migrants.  If original Goans are feeling the heat of marginalization in their own state then do not blame the migrants. For years Goans have been selling their properties to non-Goans and have left the country for better pastures. Goans are heavily dependent on migrants for all types of works. All over Goa the business premises, workshops and factories, fishing and agriculture sectors are full of migrants. Migrants are the backbone of the state's economic development .

Goans are to be blamed for all the mess and for all the wrong reasons. Till this date no legislation is passed in the assembly to tackle various pertinent issues just because our elected members do not have the prudence and acumen to do so. So in time to come the migrant force will outnumber the Goan population and one can't rule out being dominated by migrants in all departments.
