Dona Paula residents fear another Sonsodo in area

Residents of Dona Paula especially those residing in close proximity of Bay View and adjoining areas are complaining that a number of trucks full of waste cement blocks, garbage, etc come from the top hill of Dona Paula and adjoining  area  and dump waste into a vacant plot on the side of the Prima Madonna building where stray animals are also seen. Opposite to this vacant plot there is the residence of a corporator who is not able to stop this dumping although he has his shop close by where number of tourists and other vehicles are always frequenting his taverna/shop. The situation is getting worse day by day and the residents are worried that this area may turn into another Sonsodo. This area has been partially used by tourists for illegal parking. There exist cobras in this area and with their homes disturbed they can be a danger in this vacant area where children run around. The authorities, including police who have an outpost nearby, must gear up to take action and request the panchayat and municipality to clean this area and stop dumping.
