Goa Board needs to hold XII Std exams

Recently, the Goa government decided to cancel the SSC Goa Board examination. This decision has done a great injustice to students who studied hard to secure distinctions and first class. Most of the students from rural areas got admission without verification of family backgrounds as the Education department and school management had no protocol for admission.

Recently, the chief minister had declared that there will be entrance examination. But entrance exams are much easier compared to SSC and HSSC Board exams. These examinations are turning points for students, as students decide their future education based on this examination percentage. So if government cancels 12th Std examination too, Goa Medical College and Goa Engineering College will be thronged for admissions. And everyone including pass and second class grades students will appear for entrance exams. Therefore the government and Goa Board should conduct 12th Std exams strictly following Corona precautions protocol.
