After a major pharmaceutical company launched what they called 'antibody cocktail', the authorities in UP seem to have launched their own kind of vaccine cocktail. About 20 villagers in the Siddharthnagar district of UP were administered Covaxin after they had received Covishield as their first dose. Truly, we are turning out to be a land of cocktails. Well, this is like yet another experiment on the common man. In fact, the whole Covid-19 now seems to be one big cocktail.
That the villagers who have received this cocktail are doing fine at the moment, is another issue. Only time will tell of the effects of this negligence on the part of the authorities. This incident only goes to show the level of mismanagement that is happening in our country with regard to Covid. Can we still clang thalis, clap hands, light diyas to tell the world that we have conquered Covid? The government of India ought to feel ashamed of itself over the pathetic handling of the situation. The lives of the common man are at stake!
