One thing that is becoming very clear in Goa is the active role of erring /specific panchas in allowing illegalities and deceitfully promoting mega housing/commercial properties ( many times without proper permissions). There appears to be highly compromised members in the Sancoale Panchayat for the Bhutani project and so should be the case with the DLF hill cutting mega project at Reis Magos. However this does not end with the latter two and same is suspected across many panchayats in Goa ( including Colva Village Panchayat) with specific panchas and ex-panchas. It’s important that respective villagers look at demanding audits on how their panchayats approve housing projects /hotels and big commercial entities in their respective villages.
