Vehicle mows down 2 cattle at Navelim, 2-wheeler rider hurt

Black out on the Navelim stretch of the western bypass was a cause of accidents on Tuesday evening, where a four-wheeler mowed down a buffalo and a cow and injuring a two-wheeler rider.

Local residents pointed out that an unknown four-wheeler rammed against the stray cattle squatting on the road, leaving two animals injured. A two-wheeler, who was travelling on the road, later hit the injured animals, sustained injuries. He was rushed to the hospital by the local residents.

The locals pointed out that the entire stretch of the western bypass in Navelim was in darkness for reasons best known to the PWD,  NH and the power department.

They further pointed out that neither the police nor any other authority were ready to come to the spot and lift the dead animals.
