Dabolim airport welcomed its first charter flight with 334 Russian tourists when an Azure Air flight arriving from Vnukovo International Airport in Russia landed at Dabolim Airport at 4 am on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, the guests were greeted with traditional Goan hospitality. Officials from the Airport Authority of India and the Goa Tourism Department were present to extend a special welcome.
Passengers received roses, and a cake-cutting ceremony was organised to commemorate the occasion. Adding to the festivities, a traditional brass band serenaded the visitors with local music.
AZURE AIR: Following today’s arrival, Azure Air flights from Vnukovo International Airport, Russia, are scheduled for November 15 and November 26, 2024. Starting from December 2, 2024, daily flights from Kolsovo Airport will continue until March 23, 2024, totalling 110 flights.
AERONOMAD: From Kyrgyzstan, Aeronomad flights are scheduled from December 28, to February 1, 2025, with one flight every Saturday, making a total of 6 flights.
FLYARYSTAN: From Astana-Kazakhstan, FlyArystan flights will operate from December 7, 2024, to March 29, 2025, with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, totalling 32 flights.
With these arrivals, officials are optimistic about a successful tourism season, as more charter flights are expected to bring in international visitors into the State.
