A wise Parliament passed the 1991 Places of worship Act, upheld by the Supreme Court mandating the status quo be maintained as after 1947. The partition horrors of atrocities and resurrection of deep seated communal forces were to be avoided at all costs in a multi-religious nation with great diversity! Therefore the Babri Masjid judgement was an exception made to effect final closure! Now Hindu organizations seem to want to right the wrongs in history perpetrated since times immemorial. History has recorded the wrongs on all sides! There are layers of ancient history buried, all not very pleasant, best forgiven and kept buried. This communal pot kept boiling and aggressive revenge sentiments whipped up are wasting the courts time at great expense and will lead to unrest and violence destroying our secular, democratic, tolerant, mature nation preaching unity in diversity and non-violence, admired by the world for its spiritual dimension!
