In present times, reckless driving has become the order of the day and has resulted in fatal accidents. In Goa we see vehicles proceeding on internal road towards the main road proceeding at a fast pace on most occasions. With no speed breakers at the starting point of such roads, there is every possibility of mishaps at junctions where the internal road and main road meet. There have been accidents at such junctions on several occasions leading to even deaths. The concerned authorities should install speed breakers at the starting point of internal roads so that over-speeding of vehicles is brought under firm control. Traffic signboards indicating the prescribed speed limit must be installed as a precautionary measure. Let us hope that the authorities take up this matter on priority and initiate favourable action to save precious lives.
