The government should include the Bhagavad Gita in school syllabus. The Union government’s National Education Policy-2020, had recommended for the introduction of modern and ancient culture, traditions and knowledge systems in school curriculum so that the students feel proud of India’s rich and diverse culture. The aim must be to introduce the values and principles enshrined in the Bhagavad Gita in school curriculum. It should not be seen from a religious point of view but how human values can be upheld by studying the Gita. Introducing Bhagavad Gita in school syllabus would cultivate a sense of pride and connection to traditions. And the values and principles enshrined in the Bhagavad Gita in school curriculum advocates the introduction of modern and ancient cultures, traditions and knowledge systems making us proud of our rich and diverse culture.
