This is with reference to the report, " Wildlife and ecotourism thrills - The Goan Everyday - March 27, 2025." The government proposed wildlife and eco-tourism in protected wildlife areas may be a good thought. They seek to promote Nature trails, eco-tourism activities and cottages in all the six wildlife sanctuaries in the state. A couple of months ago while we were in Goa for the Exposition, we decided to make the long trip to Bondla wildlife sanctuary. I must say, it was a big disappointment for all of us, especially my young nephew who was looking forward to the trip. Yes, it's time the authorities wake up and make these wildlife sanctuaries a place which people would look forward to visiting. And speaking of human-animal conflict, the best way would be to keep encroachments away from wildlife territory so that both man and beast can live in harmony with each other, each within their own periphery. We have had enough of human-animal conflict here in Mumbai on account of encroachments.
