Keep tourists informed about Covid-19 SOPs

Subsequent to Unlock-4, tourists have been visiting the imposing steps of the facade of the iconic Immaculate Conception Church, Panaji but in their excitement have been neglecting the safety norms in place in the wake of the Pandemic. 

Whilst appreciating the CCP for taking steps for imposing fines on tourists for not wearing masks, it is a step taken which may discourage tourists from visiting the Panaji Church. 

So it is now absolutely necessary that the District Disaster Management Authorities and its nodal agencies like CCP and other Municipal/Panchayat bodies immediately issue restrictions to the tourists visiting the State by giving wide publicity to create mass awareness to wear masks and maintain social distancing and regular use of sanitizers in order to contain the spread of Covid-19 when visiting religious shrines whilst holidaying in Goa before imposing fines for violations.

The Supreme Court (SC) has said that there are 4,442 pending cases where MPs and MLAs face trial in criminal cases in different courts.
