Kudos to these humane efforts

It is gratifying to note that those in authority, as well as those not in authority (the good samaritans) are moving heaven and earth to quell the Covid-19 pandemic.

An important temple has taken the initiative to turn itself into a hospital. What is more, it has offered to bear all the expenses of the patients. I hope other temples follow this template. This should answer the prayers of the grief stricken. Doctors have sprung upon social media to advise and give solace.

IITs around the country are developing prototypes for ventilators and are also developing testing kits, masks and sanitisers. A 1,000-bedded state-of-the-art Covid care hospital manned by critical care specialists, pulmonologists, doctors and nursing officers of the Indian Armed Forces has been deployed from Thursday First or second wave forsooth, I am sure with the collective efforts of all, we will be able to wave a permanent goodbye to the virus.
