The government is urging citizens to conserve fuel and support national resource conservation. In Goa, public transport mainly consists of state-run buses and ferries, but poor last-mile connectivity forces many residents to rely on private vehicles. Interior residential areas remain poorly linked to transport hubs, while services reduce significantly after 8 pm. Tourists often rent vehicles due to limited transport options. The absence of cab aggregators such as Ola, Uber and Rapido, along with unregulated autorickshaw and taxi fares, increases travel costs. Poor road conditions and limited online information on bus routes, schedules and fares further inconvenience residents and visitors.
