Over the past few months, there has been much ado and ‘carrot dangling’ by the Chief Minister about a cabinet reshuffle and filling up the vacant cabinet berth of the late Agriculture Minister, Ravi Naik, with a few MLAs eagerly waiting in the wings. With less than a year left for the 2027 Goa Assembly polls, I wonder what miracles can be wrought in the remaining few months. On the contrary, it would be more prudent and beneficial to the State if a few ministers are replaced or divested of their present important portfolios in the fields of public works, water resources, panchayats and transport, which are woefully neglected and a let-down on promises made to the people of Goa and the welfare of the State.
