The footpath outside Margao railway station has been almost entirely taken over by migrants and is very difficult to use by passersby. They cook, smoke, wash and defecate right on the pavement creating massively unhygienic conditions.
Quite a few of them are professional beggars and indulge in petty crimes in the city. Most are very aggressive when confronted.
Why are the law enforcement agencies not getting rid of this menace which is hiding in plain sight.
The local MLAs are least bothered about the problem but simply make sanctimonious statements about keeping our city clean and crime free. Shame!
