Goa bench of Bombay High Court has issued notice to repair potholes on Goan roads by May 15, 2022. The potholes underwent temporary repairs before assembly elections. It was done to pacify the voters for elections held on February 14. It is surprising that PWD and contractors have to wait for the court’s order to do their task. If the court intervenes in every department then Goa will be a beautiful state one day in terms of overall development.
When it comes to development I think of Vasco. Take the case of Vasco bus stand. The bus stand project was taken up for soil testing. It was supposed to get a new seven years back but has ended up as the worst bus stand in Goa. One should visit see its state which is worse than a village bus stand. KTC has shown no interest in reconditioning and giving it a better look. If the same is not repaired the entire bus stand will turn brown in colour. The High Court should intervene in this matter too and see that all bus stands are cleaned and upgraded so that passengers have a happy transit. We the citizens humbly request KTC to bring some semblance before the monsoon season starts.
