I see a lot of concerned villagers from Calangute and Candolim fighting to preserve their villages from the machinations of the destructive real estate lobby and land sharks. However, please note that this threat to these lands will always be there especially when the local MLA is a major real estate “broker”, so the root cause of the problem needs to be addressed. Needless to say, this is the same problem faced in many other places in Goa.
