Wait for ICMR decision to reopen schools

With much ado on the Bhumiputra Bill, its time now to concentrate on our ‘Bhumibaalaks’ (sons of the schools).

Our Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reportedly said that he was in no hurry to reopen schools in the State and would indeed wait for the green signal from Indian Council of Medical Research.

Covid pandemic is not yet over. In these circumstances, our CM has made a wise decision in the interest of our to wait for the green signal from the top medical body.

Our children may have lost over a year of going to school due to the pandemic, but one must recall the proverb health is wealth. Indeed if our children are healthy at home and can cope up with the online classes, the government can continue with the present system.

Schools must be reopened only when there is a vaccine available for the students. Otherwise we will only be playing with the lives of our children.
