The Opposition’s recent message, reportedly prepared using AI, has drawn criticism from many Niz Goenkars. Critics argue that one party had earlier betrayed public trust over issues such as the classification of coconut trees as grass, allegedly to facilitate TCP-related benefits. They point to the party’s decline in the number of MLAs in the last Assembly election and predict further setbacks in 2027.
Questions are also being raised over alleged TCP-related changes to open spaces and settlement zones that are said to have benefited influential interests. Critics believe the party should not be considered for any alliance.
Scepticism has also been expressed about other political parties, citing allegations of unpaid government employee dues, frequent defections by MLAs, and past attempts to merge Goa with Maharashtra.
Many Goenkars believe the 2027 election is an opportunity to reject leaders perceived to support land, coal and other issues at the cost of Goa’s future, urging voters to remain vigilant.
