Why is Adani forcing coal ill effects on state?

Adani Group chairman, speaking at the India Global forum: ‘Energy transition- the balancing act’ said his group met its 25GW target 4 years ahead of schedule and by 2030 would be the world’s largest renewable energy company!  75% of his Capec upto 2025 is renewable power generation tripling from 21% to 63%. But not for Goa which till now did not have coal at all but will cater to Adani’s thermal power plants! On August 22, SEE Ferrybridge coal fired power plant blasted its boiler room and 2 chimneys in Britain’s phasing out thermal power plants. In 2012, thermal power accounted for 40% of Britain’s electricity, today it is 2% and by 2024 it will be zero.

In such a scenario, why is Adani forcing a hitherto non-player in the thermal power supply chain to suffer the ill effects of coal transport? So double tracking is for what? To reduce real estate costs by blackening the same? Mopa airport, we now know, was made so that a favoured casino owner could start a resort like Genting, Malaysia, complete with gambling on land gifted by govt.
