On various occasions, we come across labourers working above ground level do not use any gear like safety belt and helmet. Under such circumstances, there is every possibility of an accident. The risk is more on construction sites. Recently, a labourer attached to PWD office at Quepem lost his life after falling from the second floor of the building housing the PWD office. It would be appropriate for the authorities to provide safety gear for labourers working at heights.
