It is an established fact that many young people here cannot find jobs of their choice, and often need to train themselves in written and spoken English to secure employment abroad. Some move overseas in search of better opportunities, where proficiency in English becomes essential. They build their skills and train in a variety of vocational roles, mostly in high-demand technical fields.

In this age of AI, it is important to focus on technical skills while also being proficient in English. The rapid growth of AI is transforming industries, and much of this work is developed and communicated in English. Young job seekers need good command of the language to be selected and to adapt to these roles, along with a strong foundation in both written and spoken English.

In India, sectors such as IT, BPO, MNCs, aviation, and sales often require English as a basic skill. Interviews, client calls, documentation, and emails are usually conducted in English. Strong communication skills can lead to better pay and faster career growth. Start-ups in India and abroad also expect candidates to have a good working knowledge of English. It serves as a common link language when people from different countries, such as India and the USA, interact.

Many students still struggle with writing and speaking English, which makes it difficult for them to communicate effectively. English is a powerful multiplier”it may not secure a job on its own, but a lack of it can close doors, especially in corporate, technical, and international roles.

If your career goals involve working with clients, global teams, or appearing for competitive exams, investing six months in improving your spoken and written English can bring quick benefits. Regular practice through daily conversations can help overcome hesitation and improve confidence.
