Aadhaar cards for illegal migrants threat to security

The recent allegation by the Margao muncipal councillor Mahesh Amonkar against issuing illegal aadhaar cards to Nepalis citizens, highlights a severe lapse in the system.  This exposes how illegal immigrants from Nepal have been offered aadhaar cards without any proof, also exposes gazetted officers who sign off on forged documents required to provide aadhaar cards.  UIDAI has been mandated to provide aadhaar to resident of India as a matter of conscious policy decision of government.  The influx of illegal immigrants in India is a huge issue, especially in Nepal and other states where it is claimed that the demography has been altered by people that have been migrating from neighbouring countries.  Aadhaar cards exceeding the population may further increase with aadhaar becoming omnipresent in the lives of people today.  The indiscriminate issuance of aadhaar cards to illegal migrants, creates a serious threat to national security.
