The mini lockdown announced in Goa sounds more like a honeymoon package of 3 days and 4 nights. It is shocking to see that in the lockdown, the ‘lock’ is kept open and people are roaming freely without any fear of Covid.
Various businesses are going on in full swing. Two-wheelers and four-wheelers are freely moving on the roads. The policemen are a confused lot regarding government’s order on lockdown as it is not clear.
The government is not concerned over the daily positive cases and the number of deaths in the State and is only bothered about the economy.
If we don't break the coronavirus chain now, the coming days will only bring more misery to Goans who will lose their loved ones.
It is time the government extends the lockdown for another 15 days with strict implementation of SOPs.
Please do not play with the lives of our brothers and sisters.
