Over the years, the notion of one government job per family has remained merely on paper. Politicians are accustomed to giving government jobs to four and even five persons from a single family. These include candidates of their choice.
In fact candidates from weaker sections of society who are really efficient and possess necessary merit need to be given preference for such jobs.
But this doesn’t happen. Due to favouritism and influence on the part of the ruling politicians, only a selected few tend to be the winners in the process.
Such a system is rather undesirable and totally unwarranted. Politicians need to respect the notion of ‘one job per family’ seriously. Such a tendency turns to be injustice for the really capable candidates possessing necessary educational qualification, understanding of the said official work, efficiency, knowledge of local languages, etc.
The government remains a silent spectator with no sort of action against politicians for neglecting the notion of ‘one job per family’. I request the CM Pramod Sawant to see to it that the above notion gets due respect from the ruling politicians while they recruit candidates of their choice in various government departments.
