App-based taxis need of hour in the State

This is with reference to the news report '  Won't allow any move that negatively affects tourism' : Transport Minister (TGE. Mar7). Transport minister Mauvin Godinho is therefore right when he says that  people are  laughing at us, for not having app-based taxis like Ola and Uber in Goa , when these cabagregators are operating in the whole country. The question then  is why has the honourable minister delayed in bringing about the change in Goa when app-based taxis in other states have proved to be an overwhelming success. In Mumbai for example, where the scheme is very popular,  there has never ever been  any complaint from taxi drivers of being deprived of their livelihood. Why is it happening in Goa only? And for how long are we going to be at the mercy of trouble-maker taxi drivers? It is time for the govt to crack the whip.
