Panaji police have finally arrested the sixth and final accused along with another person (taking the total to seven) in connection with the alleged assault and attempted murder of activist Rama Kankonkar on Friday. The Panaji police had earlier arrested five accused on Thursday late evening who were allegedly involved in the same case.
Now, under whose instructions was the sixth culprit left untouched all this while, and why? To give him time to hire lawyers to save himself and bail out his other friends from jail with the help of the main mastermind and his political godfather involved in this particular case?
Well, the Goa Police should stop testing the patience of Goans by playing their own dirty hide-and-seek games at the behest of the Pramod Sawant-led BJP government to somehow protect the main mastermind and the politician involved behind this brutal attack on Kankonkar.
Instead, it should dare to conduct a fair investigation (which I doubt they will ever do due to their own political compulsions) and go on to name and shame all those involved in this particular case to really give justice to activist Rama Kankonkar and his family. Because by now most Goans know who the main mastermind is and under which politician’s instructions this brutal attack was carried out against Kankonkar at Caranzalem on Thursday afternoon... And why?
