As the assembly elections are fast approaching, secret agents of candidates are at work full swing. Yes, not with poll work but that of hacking personal accounts on Facebook, Messenger, Twitter and of course mobile phones.
These unscrupulous agents are leaving no stone unturned and are using these accounts for publicity of poll material.
Accounts of activists fighting for Goa and Goans are also hacked in a bid to stop their activities.
Earlier, these hacking cases could be heard in other parts of India, but of late hundreds of cases of Facebook accounts being hacked in Goa have come to light. The idea behind this could be keep a track on the movement of these activists and what they are up to.
It is reported that in Chandor-Cavorim several accounts had been hacked and people were clueless as to what was happening.
It would be in the fitness of things if the Cyber Cell of the Goa Police takes note of the issue and immediately act on complaints before the situation goes out of control.
