We hear calls that voting is a duty. Voters cannot always forget the crimes of their candidates, they must take responsibility for the same. In 2020, Goans died from what? No beds, no oxygen, no ventilators. During this time there was corruption in medical purchases with no care for the people. The deaths were horrific and relatives remained helpless.
The voters of those directly responsible cannot hide behind the jobs they got by unfair means. Today, if they vote for those responsible, it means they too become accomplices in their crimes. In the first quarter of 2020, the BJP medical cell got the government to open tourism and was also responsible for the deaths. In 2022, Goa still has no genome sequencing machine. People are still dying for the wrong decisions of the BJP medical cell. The PM blamed States for spreading the virus in 2020 by sending migrants home. In Goa, we saw what happened: the employers left their migrant workers to fend for themselves and the government forcing Goan landlords to waive rents.
