PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral after coming under fire from his own colleague Babush Monseratte is now heard partly blaming the contractors, but mostly the rains for the bad condition of all the newly hotmixed roads in Goa. He says that he doesn't wants to blame the contractors fully but the rains as he claims that when the road work began in the state, it started raining and due to which the contractors were forced to do only one layer, second layer couldn't be done because of the rains.
Well, the reason why Cabral is not trying to blame himself nor his contractors fully for the ongoing worsening condition of roads is maybe because they must have equally shared their commissions and due which is currently heard shamelessly blaming the rains to somehow save his own skin in Goa.
I therefore personally feel that if Cabral is a man of true principles then instead of blaming others for his own misdeeds, he must seriously own up and resign immediately as PWD minister to make way for a more competent leader to take over this same post for the betterment of Goa.
