In recent weeks, cattle appear to be roaming freely across the roads of Benaulim, creating increasing concern among locals and visitors alike. A cattle shed located along the Benaulim“Varca road reportedly releases its cows and buffaloes every morning, leading to regular traffic obstructions and posing serious risks to pedestrians, especially children and the elderly.
Additionally, stray cattle have taken up what seems like permanent residence along the beach road, resulting in constant inconvenience and disturbance.
The presence of these animals not only hampers smooth movement but also leads to unhygienic conditions, as the roads are often littered with dung, contributing to an unhealthy environment.
It is high time the local panchayat steps in to regulate this issue. Can appropriate action be taken to address this growing menace and restore order on our roads?
