Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has reportedly requested our CM Pramod Sawant to provide a minimum of one or two acres of government land for the construction of Kannada Bhavan in Goa.
Unfortunately, CM Sawant who is otherwise well-known for poking his nose in every single matter in the state has still not bothered to issue a single statement or has dared to say a big 'no' for such a demand of Karnataka CM in Goa. Just because we Goans are getting electricity, milk, vegetables, fruits and many other things from Karnataka? But aren't we Goans paying the people of Karnataka with money for providing us with the above mentioned facilities/services in Goa?
And why does the CM of Karnataka currently want to construct a Kannada Bhavan in a small state like Goa when the land is scarce and not in bigger states like Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand or Orissa where the land is plenty? To officially allow all the Kannadis settled in our state to destroy the unique identity of Goa by finally constructing this Kannada Bhavan right in our backyard and to permanently turn this tiny state into a mini-Karnataka?
I think that if our CM Sawant is really a true blooded Goan leader then , he should dare to roar and say a big 'no' to the unrealistic demand of Karnataka CM to defend Goa at the very earliest. If not Sawant should immediately resign.
